ACT5, SCENE1
Hamlet doesn't realize that the woman being buried is Ophelia until Laertes speaks of his love for his sister. He jumps in the graves and professes his love for her is more than 40,000 brothers. A fight ensues and has to be broken up.
Ophelia's burial is a point of the play because the first fight between Laertes and Hamlet Happens and gives Claudius the idea of finally killing Hamlet because as the old adage goes, "If you want something done right, you have to do it yourself". If the burial and fight hadn't happened the end of the play would be changed. When Fortinbras comes in he may not be crowned on the spot and everyone wouldn't be dead.
